KEY MOMENT- #1
NETWORKING:


BEING ABLE TO UNDERTAKE WORK-BASED-LEARNING WHILST I WAS IN AN EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT ALLOWED ME TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX TO BE OPEN TO AS MANY OPPORTUNITIES AS POSSIBLE. THE EDUCATIONAL FACTOR MADE IT EASIER AS YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO EXPLAIN WHY YOU WANTED TO DO SOMETHING OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE! 

ENABLING EMPLOYERS TO SEE WHAT YOUR DOING AT THE MOMENT AND UNDERSTAND HOW YOUR WORK-BASED-LEARNING PLACEMENT WITH THEM CAN HELP. 

BEING ABLE TO GO TO AN EMPLOYER AND SAY "I NEED A PLACEMENT AS IM GETTING MARKED ON IT",  IS NOT A GOOD ENOUGH REASON TO ATTEND A PLACEMENT. IT IS UPI TO YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL TO SEE WHAT THE WORK PLACEMENT IS GOING TO BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU SUCH AS: NEW SKILLS, NEW NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES ETC... 
THESE SKILLS ARE SKILLS YOU WILL KEEP REFERRING TO THROUGH OUT YOUR LIFE AND WHEN YOU ARE IN A FULL TIME WORKING ENVIRONMENT.. GUESS WHAT.... THESE SKILLS WILL BE NEEDED! 

THIS IS WHY I THINK THIS IS ONE OF MY KEY MOMENTS FROM THIS PROJECT. 
KEY MOMENT- #2
OVER COMMING FEARS: 

PEOPLE I HAVE MET HAVE HELPED WITH CERTAIN REPORTS THIS YEAR SUCH AS MY NEGOTIATED RESEARCH. I NEEDED TO CREATE INTERVIEWS AND QUESTIONS TO EMPLOYERS AND THIS WAS AN EASY STARTING POINT. TO GET THEM INVOLVED TO SEE WHAT THEY THOUGHT AND THEN I WAS ABLE TO TAKE IT TO EMPLOYERS OF COMPANIES THAT I DIDN'T KNOW!  IN LIFE AND EMPLOYMENT YOU WILL HAVE TO OVER COME FEARS. MY FEAR WAS SPEAKING ON THE TELEPHONE, AT LEAST HALF OF THESE PLACEMENTS WERE MADE VIA THE TELEPHONE  HAVE LEARNT TO ANSWER PEOPLE WITH CONFIDENCE, NOT TO ASK NOTHING AND WHEN THEY HAVE PUT THE PHONE DOWN LEFT WISHING THAT YOU HAD ASKED- AND YOU DONT RING AGAIN! I HVE UNDERSTOOD HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO RING AND ASK FOR PEOPLE CONFIDENTLY AS THIS CAN GIVE FIRST IMPRESSIONS IF YOU HAVEN'T MET SOMEBODY PRIOR. THIS HAS NOW EFFECTED MY LIFE AS I COULDN'T REALLY RING FOR A PIZZA! I KNOW IT SOUNDS SILLY BUT ITS ONE THING I COULDN'T DO. THIS HAS BROUGHT A NEW LIGHT UP ONTO THE SITUATION. 


IT HAS BEEN A LIFE CHANGING KEY MOMENT. 



KEY MOMENT- #3
CHANGED WAY OF CAREER PATH:


I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A SINGER OR A NURSE. SINGING CAME OUT ON TOP WHEN I WENT TO SECONDARY SCHOOL, NOW AT UNIVERSITY LEVEL I HAVE DECIDED FROM HOW I HAVE APPROACHED WORK-BASED- LEARNING I HAVE UNDERSTOOD HOW THINGS CAN CHANGE FROM ONE DAY TO THE NEXT. 
SINGING IS MY PASSION AND WHEN EVER SOMEONE TALKS ABOUT PERFORMING I GET GOOSEBUMPS. NOW THROUGH WORK-BASED-LEARNING I HAVE A JOB AT THE MUSIC MILL AS A SINGING TEACHER. I TEACH PEOPLE FROM 4 TO 13 YEARS OF AGE. 
PERFORMING ENABLES ME TO CUT OFF FROM EVERYTHING, YET THERE IS NO FEELING IN THE WORLD BETTER THAN A SMILING CHILD COME UP TO YOU AND SAY: "I DID IT I DID IT" AND YOU KNOW IT IS BECAUSE OF YOU! 


I HAVE THE ABILITY TO BE A SCHOOL TEACHER, A TRAVELING TEACHER, A SELF EMPLOYED TEACHER. BUT UNTIL THAT DAY I WONT KNOW. 


THIS ALSO HAS HAD AN EFFECT ON MY LIFE. THIS IS WHY THIS IS MY LAST KEY MMENT WITHIN TIS PROJECT.
